Terms of Service
Effective 2026-05-05.
These Terms govern your use of pgblame ("the Service"), operated by Yair Liberzon ("we", "us") from Israel. By signing up, you accept these Terms.
What you get
A hosted dashboard and an open-source agent that snapshot pg_stat_statements from your Postgres database and correlate query performance with deploy events. Feature scope per tier is described on the homepage pricing card; we may change features within a tier with reasonable notice.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You're responsible for keeping your credentials and agent tokens secret. If a token leaks, regenerate it from project settings.
- One person per account. Sharing accounts is fine; reselling them is not.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to monitor databases you don't own or have permission to monitor.
- Abuse the connection-test feature to probe hosts you don't own.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise circumvent rate limits or tier caps. The free-tier project cap and request rate limits are part of the Service contract.
- Use the Service to coordinate or contribute to any unlawful, deceptive, or harmful activity.
- Send us, via the agent or the API, data we've told you we don't want (e.g. raw rows from your application). The agent is designed not to do this; if you fork it and modify it, that's on you.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these — typically with email notice unless the abuse is ongoing and severe.
Subscriptions and payment
- The Free tier requires no payment. Paid tiers (Pro, Agency) are billed in advance, monthly or annually.
- Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. They handle taxes (VAT, sales tax) globally on our behalf, which is reflected on your receipt.
- Refunds: we offer a pro-rated refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions. Email liberzon@gmail.com.
- Cancellation: you can cancel anytime from the customer portal (linked from your dashboard). You retain access through the end of the period you paid for; we don't pro-rate refunds for cancellations after the 14-day window.
- We'll notify you at least 30 days before raising prices on your existing subscription.
Your data, your code
- You own your data. We hold a license to process it only as needed to operate the Service (described in our Privacy Policy).
- You own your queries and code. We won't share them or use them to train models.
- The agent runs in your environment under a Postgres role you control. We never receive your application data; we only receive aggregate statistics from
pg_stat_statements.
Our IP
The agent — the only code that touches your database — is MIT- licensed and lives at github.com/liberzon/pgblame-agent. The hosted dashboard, marketing site, and related assets remain our property; you don't get a license to run the dashboard yourself just by being a customer.
Service level — best effort
pgblame is a small operation. We'll work to keep it up but we don't commit to a formal SLA at this stage. If the dashboard is down, your agent buffers up to 1 hour of data locally and ships it when we're back. For status updates, email us at liberzon@gmail.com.
Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability under these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — for example, lost profits or revenue.
Specifically: if the agent ever (through bug, misconfiguration, or otherwise) causes load on your database, you remain responsible for operating your database. Set the sample interval, statement timeout, and read-only role per the docs.
Indemnification
You agree to defend us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
Either of us can terminate at any time. On termination we'll delete your data within 30 days (with backups following standard rotation). Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Disputes that can't be resolved by email go to the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo. EU consumers retain the rights of their local law.
Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll bump the "Effective" date and email account holders for material changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
